Melody Tash is a seasoned film professional whose work reflects a diverse range of roles, from the Director of Photography for the feature docudrama Post Partum Problems – which screened at the Marché Du Film in Cannes (2023) – to the Art Director for the Emmy Award-winning Philadelphia: The Great Experiment Fever episode by History Making Productions, to Director for an Award Winning PSA for Beyond Celiac. This PSA, filmed in eight different locations on a single day in winter, featured real people talent and earned a prestigious 2021 Silver Health Information Award. Melody co-wrote (with J. Graham) and directed the film narrative short Hallow Gate, which was an official selection of the Equinox Women’s Film Festival and gained distribution with Seed&Spark.

Melody’s cinematography has appeared on ABC, CBS, NBC, TLC, Nick, CSPAN, and Billboard.com among other places. Melody has a BA in theater with a history minor from Temple University.

Melody Tash brings a unique perspective to every project, infusing creativity and technical expertise. Her ability to seamlessly switch roles, coupled with a deep understanding of storytelling, sets her apart in the industry. As a director, Melody has a real understanding of what it takes for each department to do its job (she’s worked in most of them!) and what needs to happen to in order for everyone to come together to craft a unified piece.

Melody holds a deep appreciation for authentic storytelling, firmly believing that the most powerful narratives are the ones found in real-life experiences. Her commitment to crafting memorable stories is underlined by an unwavering dedication to pre-production, effective communication across departments, and the collaboration that brings each project to fruition.

Outside of work Melody can be found swimming, hiking local trails, and planning field trips.
