Melody Tash — Director & Cinematographer
Melody Tash is a Philadelphia-based Director and Cinematographer (DP) specializing in commercial, documentary, and branded work. With years of experience collaborating with producers, directors, and creative teams, she creates visual storytelling that resonates emotionally and elevates every project. Melody is the president of Cinema Quilt, a full service production company that works with clients from concept through final film.
Melody’s cinematography has appeared on ABC, CBS, NBC, TLC, Nick, CSPAN, and Billboard.com among other places. Melody has a degree in theater with a history minor from Temple University.
With a dual background as both a Director and DP, as well as experience working as an Art Director, Melody bridges the creative and technical worlds — ensuring not only a strong vision, but also a smooth and efficient production process. She has collaborated with nonprofits, advocacy groups, health organizations, and universities to translate complex stories into cinematic, accessible visuals.
Whether directing, filming, or supporting the team in another role, Melody prioritizes thoughtful pre-production, strong collaboration, and storytelling that balances substance and style. When she’s not on set, she enjoys hiking, swimming, and planning adventures.
